Mutton Curry with Butternut Squash Recipe

 

 

Ingredients:

 

Mutton

1 onion finely chopped 

2 tomatoes grated

1 Tbsp garlic and ginger paste

2 Tsp Garam Masala 

1/2 Tsp Ground Cinnamon 

1 Tsp Coriander Powder

1 Tsp Jeera Powder

1/2 Tsp Whole Jeera

1 Tsp Hot Curry Powder

Few curry leaves 

1 small butternut squash cut up

Salt to taste

Oil

 

Method:

 

Put oil in a pot and add whole jeera and curry leaves. 

Fry for a bit then add the onions. 

Fry till onions are soft and slightly golden. 

Add the garlic. 

Fry for a minute then add the mutton. 

Put the lid on and let the mutton fry for a bit. 

Mix all the spices in a bowl with the salt and add to the pot. 

Fry on low for a few minutes then add the tomatoes. 

When the tomatoes are done, add some water and boil on low. 

When mutton is soft, add the butternut and simmer on low heat till it gets soft. 

Garnish with fresh dhania and mint.
