South Africa’s Heritage and Braai Day In Summary.??

Avatar Sammy
September 25, 2018

On September 24th, South Africans celebrate Heritage Day by remembering the cultural heritage of the many cultures that make up the population of South Africa.

This day became recognized as heritage day throughout the country after Madiba Nelson Mandela, became the President of South Africa, and the parliament agreed.

Various events are staged throughout the country to commemorate this. From display of traditional attire, to music, braai(barbecue), fun fare in parks etc.

One thing that’s also very important and celebrated on that day is, Braai; (Barbecue) which is what South Africans are known for.
