54 Beautiful Styles to Rock On Heritage Day

Avatar Anita
August 5, 2022

Heritage Month is celebrated in September of every year in South Africa. It is a month dedicated to celebrating South Africa’s rich and diverse culture and heritage.

National Heritage Day is on the 24th of September and has been a public holiday since 1996, to celebrate South Africa’s cultural diversity and communities. This day was originally “Shaka Day”, dedicated to celebrating the legendary Zulu king, “Shaka Zulu”.

These days, Heritage Day is synonymous with “Braai” and is also known as “National Braai Day,” where people get together to have great barbeques (“Braai,” “Shisa Nyama,” or “Ukosa”)

How Do You Dress for Heritage Day?

Heritage Day is not only a day for South Africans to gather for a braai or party, but it is also a superb opportunity to showcase unique and colorful costume ideas in traditional fashion and style.
So if you’re thinking of how to celebrate Heritage Day in style, we’ve got some heritage day outfit ideas to rock this September!
