Real Gold is applied to the piece by electro-plating a layer of 18k Gold, technically speaking, of between 3-5 Microns thick, onto the the piece. So it is plated with real gold.

Everything you see that is intricate in design is either Gold Plated or Gold Filled and not pure gold, because gold can only be cast, moulded or stamped.

Gold Filled is basically a thicker layer of Gold applied to a piece and will generally last for between 15 & 30yrs without tarnishing or wearing through. The base metal under the thick Gold layer should be Silver…but…Brass is often used or an alloy of mixed metals.

A piece of jewellery will always have ‘product’ value in any market but some Sellers take advantage of the word ‘Gold’ and sell at prices not deserved. We do NOT do that. We sell our Gold Plated pieces at honourable prices.
