Tee-Y Mix Carries Wife, Ivie, During Traditional Wedding Photoshoot

Avatar Rosie
September 26, 2019

Nigerian music producer and Project Fame reality show judge, Temitayo Ibitoye a.k.a Tee-Y Mix, got married to his sweetheart, Ivie Ogbonmwan on 31st August 2019.

The traditional wedding ceremony was a nice blend of cultures from two Nigerian tribes: Yoruba, which Tee-Y is and Bini (Benin) which Ivie is.

The traditional attire for the Yorubas, who are from South West Nigeria, is usually made from the Aso oke fabric.

Tee-Y is wearing a blue Aso oke agbada with red embroidery. Under the agbada is usually a top called “buba” and of course the trousers called “Shokoto”. He also has a blue and red embroidered cap, “fila” on his head while carrying a walking stick (which depicts royalty and nobility).

Ivie has on a blue Aso oke Yoruba traditional engagement attire made up of a top called “Buba”, with beautiful and floral stoned designs on the sleeves and wrapper also with red floral designs. (This wrapper can pass for a wrap skirt though). She is also tying a blue head tie, gele, this style is a blend of the “multi-pleats” and “fan” styles which equals the “Switch” Gele style.

Ivie’s shoes are not left out of the blue and red colour scheme as she has on matching blue and red pumps. Lovely!
