The Umabo is the final stage of the Zulu traditional marriage process. The first stage is the “Lobola”, where the dowry is negotiated. The second stage is the “Izibizo”, where gifts are given to the Bride’s mother and family. The third stage is the “Umbondo” where the bride takes groceries to the groom’s family.
