Clipkulture’s Statement on Xenophobia: We Are Our Brother’s Keeper

At Clipkulture, we celebrate culture, connection, and community across Africa and the diaspora. In light of recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa, we believe it is important to reaffirm the values we stand for.

At Clipkulture, we are deeply saddened by the xenophobic attacks and violence taking place in South Africa.

People are living in fear. Families are being displaced. Businesses built through years of sacrifice are being destroyed. Innocent people are being threatened, attacked, and even killed simply because they are not South African.

This is unacceptable.

The God who created us loved humanity so much that He gave Himself for us. Yet today, human beings are being hated and harmed by fellow human beings because of their nationality.

It reminds us of Cain’s question after killing his brother Abel: “Am I my brother’s keeper?” (Genesis 4:9).

The answer is yes.

We are our brother’s keeper.

At Clipkulture, we believe that another person’s success should not intimidate us; it should inspire us. Progress is not a competition. Africa grows when Africans support one another, not when they turn against each other.

As an equal-opportunity platform that celebrates culture and connection, we stand firmly against all forms of hatred, discrimination, and violence.

We say:

No to violence.

No to discrimination.

No to fear.

No to the destruction of lives and property.

No to xenophobia.

Let us choose humanity over hatred, unity over division, and peace over violence.
