How to Cover a bag with Fabric

What you need:
An old handbag, clutch purse or school bag
African print fabric (kitenge, Ankara)
Some Glue
A pair of scissors
A knife
1. Remove the covering of your old bag, which will most likely be peeled leather or any other fabric for making bags.
2. Measure the fabric you need to wrap the bag. You can first get a rough estimate by wrapping the bag to have a quick idea. Also take into consideration the direction you want the patterns on your kitenge or Ankara fabric to face.
3. Cut out the fabric you need carefully. Depending on the style of the old bag, one easy way to get a good fit is to measure the old material you removed.
4. Glue the wax print fabric to the bag. (If your bag had buttons, you should have removed them, to replace after gluing.
