Sad Day As Simz Ngema Celebrates 1st Wedding Anniversary Without Her Husband, Dumi Masilela.

May 20th, 2018 marked one year since Simphiwe ‘Simz’ and Dumi Masilela, took their love to the altar where they tied the knot as husband and wife. 

But in less than a year the unexpected happened, when Dumi was shot and killed during a botched hijacking in Tembisa, in August of the same year.

Though it is the most heartbreaking thing Simz Ngema has had to endure, but she managed to smile through the pain as she celebrated her first wedding anniversary without Dumi Masilela. She wrote:

“I thank God for giving me a chance to experience love in its purest form. You’d swear I was something magical from the way you looked at me. I love you forever and always. Happy 1st year wedding anniversary.”

As part of remembrance, Simz visited Dumi’s grave with her friends, who were there to cheer her up. 

“Thank you for helping me carry my burden. The stupid jokes and laughter made today so much lighter and I know it’s what Dumi would have wanted…to see me smile. I am blessed.”

Dumi Masilela was one of the cast of the popular etv soap, Rhythm City.
