Do Hair Weaves Damage Your Hair?

3 Reasons Why You Should Wear a Weave

So you have relaxed hair and try to go regularly to the salon to get your hair in rollers.

Aside from that it’s basically always tied up in a bun. Your friends keep suggesting you fix a weave but you wonder what the big deal is!

Here are some reasons why you should consider wearing a weave:

1. Wearing a hair weave is a protective hairstyle (especially when it is sewn-in.

Your hair is woven (corn-rows) and the weaves are sewn to the corn-rows. There are more positive benefits of sewing on your weave than gluing the weave. However, when you see on a weave, extra care should be taken when you want to take the Weaves out so you don’t cut your hair.

Also avoid tight cornrows and sewing.

So the weaves cover your natural hair from harsh weather and cotton pillowcases.

You also get a break from dryers, straighteners/flat iron and hot rollers.

2. You spend less effort and time on getting your hair fixed.

I have observed and it has also been confirmed that black hair flourishes when you don’t bother it too much. Your hair would grow longer and faster when it’s “resting” under a weave.

3. Your hair growth and length would be protected and your hair much stronger. This is because the loose ends which are prone to breakage from rubbing against fabric, sheets, seats etc, are hidden.

Other protective styles are packing your hair in a bun and wearing braids.
