How to Cut Costs and Avoid Wastage When Planning Your Wedding.

1. Have a budget and stick to it. Remember, the ceremony is usually 2days, considering the fact that you’re most likely doing a Traditional and White Wedding. Your marriage should last a lifetime on the other hand.

2. Constantly remind yourself you can have a quality, well organized and exciting wedding without going into debt, if you take time out to plan and stick with it.

3. Know your priorities (like a good and well prepared menu)and work around other non essentials. For example, if you know live flowers are not your priority, don’t let anyone force you into it, go for more affordable options. A good event decorator should always give you options.

4. Choose the “hire” option rather than purchase when available. Again this depends on your budget and priorities. You may choose to hire your wedding gown rather than buy one, since you’re only gonna wear it once.

5. Look out for packaged offers instead of isolated offers. For example, some venues you may want to use will have attached decor services and catering offers…it MAY just be a good deal. Study the offer wisely.

6. Negotiate. Negotiate. Negotiate! Look out for offers, discounts or deals that fall in line with what you want to achieve and not just because they are “cheap”.
