“These days, every Tom, Dick & Lasisi is an Entrepreneur”

Avatar Adaeze
April 17, 2019

These days, every Tom, Dick & Lasisi is an Entrepreneur.  It’s the new buzzword.  It’s sexy, it connotes an image of being your own boss, kicking butt, answering to no one and taking names.

Truth is, most folks fall into one of three categories:

Wantapreneur, Hustlepreneur or Entrepreneur Truth is, you just might be a hustlepreneur

For Hustlepreneurs, a business is a special purpose vehicle that feeds them today

For Entrepreneurs, a business is a platform they feed today that takes care of them tomorrow

Hustlepreneurs will sell clothes today, crypto tomorrow, and everything in between; to make a quick buck. Their loyalty is to what pays them

Entrepreneurs realize that in making a “quick” buck, they lose their brand identity in the long term. Loyalty is to the brand

Hustlepreneurs are general contractors

Entrepreneurs are specialists

Hustlepreneurs see every shiny object as an opportunity

Entrepreneurs see shiny objects as distractions

Hustlepreneurs are loyal to their personal bottom line

Entrepreneurs are loyal to their business and brand

Hustlepreneurs don’t pay themselves a salary, the revenue from the business is their salary

Entrepreneurs pay themselves a salary

Hustlepreneurs are jacks of many trades

Entrepreneurs are Masters of One (and scale from there)

Hustlepreneurs see systems & structure as a waste because they’re not building a business

Entrepreneurs know that investing in structure frees them from the business they’re trying to build so they can scale and build another

A Hustlepreneur is the middle man that can hook you up with the go to guy

The Entrepreneur is the go to guy

Hustlepreneurs eat the harvest today and pray for a seed tomorrow

Entrepreneurs live on the seed today and sow the harvest for tomorrow

A hustlepreneur is a master of skill) An entrepreneur is a master of scale)

So what are you? Hustlepreneur or Entrepreneur?
