Chicken Samosa Recipe

Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: 6
Ingredients
300 gms cooked and shredded chicken
2 onions, chopped
2 green chillis, chopped
1 tbs ginger, chopped
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp pepper powder
2 tsp chicken masala
A sprig of curry leaves
Chopped coriander leaves
1 tbs salt
½ ltr oil, for frying .
For the covering
200 gms Refined flour
2 tbs oil
½ tbs salt .
PREPARATION
•Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves.
•Cook for 2 minutes and add salt, turmeric powder, pepper powder and chicken masala.
•Add shredded chicken, mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
•Add chopped coriander leaves and let the mixture cool.
•To make the covering, mix flour salt and oil.
•Add lukewarm water to make semi hard dough. •Once done, cover the dough with a wet cloth. •Make small balls of the dough. Roll into circle. •Cut the circle into four quarters.
•Take a quarter and join the curved edges by pressing together, to make a cone shape.
•Put 2 tbs of the chicken mixture and seal the open edge of the cone.
•Repeat the process for the other samosas
•Heat oil in a wok, once the oil gets hot, slip in the samosas in batches.
•Fry till both sides turn golden brown.
•Drain off the excess oil on tissue paper.
•Serve hot with tomato ketchup. .
