Zambian Beef Hooves Recipe

 

 

Ingredients

1. Beef Hooves (already cleaned and cut)

2. 1 medium sized tomato

3. 1 small onion (optional)

4. Some salt to taste

5. A teaspoon of cooking oil

 

Preparation

1. Put your hooves in a pot and add some salt and oil. Boil for at least a minimum of 3 hours. After 3 hours keep checking if they are done ( soft but not too soft)

2. Add your tomato and onion and allow to boil for some 10-15 minutes so as to make a gravy( I used tomato paste in this one and no onion because I like them without)

3. Allow to simmer

4. Serve while still warm with nshima.
